It is with great pleasure that after reading through hundreds of applications and inspirational portfolios, we announce the two students we’ve selected as our 2019 WallPops for Education winners. Our Scholarship for the Arts program is our way of showing support to those who share our passion for design and creativity, and help aspiring artists studying in the creative field.
The selected individuals have showcased their talent and academic achievements to our WallPops Scholarship Committee in a way that moved us and fully embody our mission. We are beyond happy to award them $1,000 scholarships. So without further ado, here are our 2019 scholarship recipients!
Emily Barnett
Emily is from the West Coast and is currently studying graphic design. We were captivated by the amount of detail that she puts into her work, and her creativity she expressed throughout her application (even down to the envelope)! Her art showcases impeccable talent and precision, while also embodying a personal touch that is truly unique. Emily’s portfolio included beautiful pen and ink designs in an array of watercolors.
Emily is the perfect example of a student who shows that it is never too late to follow your dreams. Being student who is going back to school later in life is an action we can all applaud, and we certainly admire her determination. We are impressed by her portfolio and application, and cannot wait to see how her education endeavors unfold!

Alexis is from the East Coast and an art student with abundant talent. Her portfolio showed an incredible sense of depth and displayed her ability to grasp texture through her designs. Alexis’ artwork is both beautiful and thought provoking; it is clear that each of her projects tell an important story.
All images courteously of Alexis Harris.
The amount of detail she puts into creating her designs truly brings them to life with a touch of mystery. We’re sure that her immense talent will take her far in her art career!
