Our Bargello Waves is a designer wall art kit by Jonathan Adler for WallPops! This mod geometric print is like a granny gone wild needlepoint design for your walls. The Bargello waves motif was inspired by a set of embroidered chairs found in the Bargello palace of Florence, Italy. It is also sometimes called Florentine Flame Stitch, and Hungarian Point. The kit comes with 18 separate decals on two large sheets and no two are exactly alike! You can arrange these groovy pieces to make your own statement piece, and to fit your space perfectly. You might even end up with extra pieces left over to add an unexpected pop of mod style to a table or shelf. Below we have compiled a few of our favorite room shots, each showing a unique style, as well as a quick video to showcase how simple and fun these decals are to install!

The upcycling movement is all the rage in the arts, crafts and building world. It has taken the DIY movement to a new height of eco-chic accomplishment, repurposing items to brand new functions and forms, with eclectic and remarkable results. Before you buy new pieces, we recommend “shopping” your own home to see if you have anything that could be reinvented with a chic new identity. You can also save money and achieve a fulfilling sense of accomplishment by purchasing a used piece and making it your own with personalized upgrades. Painted furniture, for example, has been trending in home decor. Outdated wood pieces, especially, have enjoyed a renaissance of style after receiving a fresh coat of paint in an a la mode hue.
WallPops are the perfect asset in DIY upcycling projects! They are not just for walls & will stick to most smooth, flat surfaces – including painted furniture, cabinets, appliances and most treated woods. Here are a few of our favorite WallPops upcycles on ordinary items:

The beginning of April marks a renaissance of life outdoors! While natures first greens of the season are unfurling and purple hyacinth are popping up outside, the interior of your home should also enjoy a refreshed look. This is the time to let the light in, swapping out thick curtains for sheers and lace, and sprinkle your home with inspiring pops of pretty! Here are 5 ways to use Springs color and home decor trends in your space for a rejuvenated style.
Splash of Color
This Season, pastels are bathing everything in delicate hues of pink, pistachio, baby blue and lavender. These midtone versions of Easter candy hues are delightful and chic, adding a creamy dream soft beauty to everything from swimsuits to kitchen appliances. Somewhat reminiscent of the 1950s, these tender hues have an inviting and fresh feel. Try painting a wooden chair, making a feature wall, or introducing a new accessory into your home this season in a pretty pastel tint.
Blossoming Branches Or Potted Bulbs
It is widely known that a vase of fresh flowers brings a room to life. This year, think outside the bouquet and try decorating with branches or potted bulbs instead. Not only do these options last longer than cut flowers, they also have a sophisticated whimsy. Spring sprigs, like pussy willows, almond tree boughs and flowering cherry tree branches add height and enchantment to decor. Buy cut branches or snip your own to enjoy the gradual blossom of nature unfolding indoors. Potted bulbs provide a similar sense of charm, building anticipation as a spike of fresh green leaves slowly buds into a colorful posy of flowers.
Florals never really go out of style, they just take on new tendencies each season. This year it seems watercolor florals, pixelated graphic florals and vintage chic retro florals are all the rage. Pick your passion or fee free to mix and match, because you simply cannot go wrong with flowers in the Springtime. Try mixing floral prints into the room with a tablecloth, a framed piece of art or wall decal kit, a garland of blossoms strung across a window, or in accent pieces like plates, vases or even napkins.
We recommend swapping out pillows often! It is one of the quickest and most effective ways to renew a space. In the Winter we like to cuddle up on the couch, surrounded by fabrics like fur, velvet, and warm knits. April is the perfect time to trade these pillows for bright and cool new looks, with seasonally appropriate fabrics like linen, cotton and lace. Experiment with the seasons fascination with metallics, mixing pastels with gold accents and fun florals with shimmery sequins.
Bowl of Beauty
Is there anything more welcoming than a bowl full of treats to enjoy? Think of the sweet lady who always has candy on her desk, your favorite neighborhood restaurant with the delicious mints, or your Martha Stewart channeling relative who always has little snacks out to enjoy. Get seasonal and sweet with your own little dish of goodies – it’s an opportunity to bring out your cutest dish and to make somebody smile – even yourself! Or, for a purely aesthetic display, try a bowl of floating blossoms, artichokes, or moss. To make your own decorative vessel check out our video on updating plain vases with designer decals. The results are gorgeous!
Imagine walking into a room and being greeted by the decor. Literally. The walls look back at you and seem to smile, with a cheerful affirmation such as “All You Need is Love”… or “Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful”. With the right quotes, your walls can truly inspire you and your guests. Wall words can include snippets of favorite songs and poems, like “We Can Be Heroes” from David Bowie, classic nursery rhymes like “Row, Row, Row your Boat” for a darling baby decor idea, and expressive wall quotes. Love being unique? Remind yourself and your roommates everyday with the “Never let Anybody Dull Your Sparkle” design. Bringing together decorative fonts together with the art of poetry, a wall quote is artistic and thought provoking.
If you want to spell out your own message, you can bring any phrase to life with the alphabet wall decal sets. With multiples of each letter, and several colors and fonts to choose from, these letters let you express anything from a simple and unique name to your personal mantra or favorite saying. You can even move the letters around if your sentiment changes from time to time. Change your mind? Change your design!
We also love the concept of using letters and words to personalize items, designate an area, or make a seasonal sentiment. We have seen decals used at baby showers to declare exciting news, such as “it’s a boy!” We have seen fun rooms that added a festive phrase like “merry and bright” or “happy Easter” to walls during the holiday season as part of the decor. Adding a name to your child’s door or a piece of furniture can be a great use of font as art, as well as a way to keep things organized.
Easter is especially fun to decorate for because it comes at the cusp of Spring. By April we are so ready for pastels, fresh flowers, and bunny rabbits, and Easter arrives with the perfect excuse to get glittery and colorful. It is also a really cute holiday for kids crafts, presenting so many adorable traditions like egg dying, Easter baskets, and Easter egg hunts. Here are a few darling ways to bring an Easter flair to life in your home this year!
Make an Easter Theme Mantel
Lots of people decorate their mantels for the winter holidays, with stockings and candles, ornaments and garland. An Easter theme mantel decor is just as fun, with a whole new color scheme! Pick a theme, or cultivate a scene with decorated eggs, bunny knick-knacks, flowering branches, and fresh flowers. All of our favorite examples here also use a cute swag to complete the look. This can be an easy and fun DIY project on its own, one you can re-use from year to year. The mantel to the left uses colorful ribbon and strips of craft paper in pastel prints tied to a piece of yarn. Below, the letters S-P-R-I-N-G provide inspiration for a festive pennant, while the felt carrots on a green ribbon make a playful statement piece in the bottom image.
Use Your Cake Plates to Create an Easter Display
Cake plates are beautiful! We are guilty of having several tucked away in our cabinets, and we love any excuse to show them off! Why wait for cake? Take them out now and create a tiered display. The cake plates themselves have a cheerful and decorative look, especially when used to display your Easter eggs in a pretty nest, or topped with tiny vases of tulips. Cake plates make a gorgeous tablescape idea for Easter decor, and we love an excuse to have them out of the China cabinet so that we can admire them! This also saves room on the table because you can take advantage of vertical space, creating tiers of cupcakes, eggs, flowers, appetizers and more, with lots of layers of visual interest.
Add a Pop of Pretty to Your Walls with Removable Wall Art
Your walls are the perfect palette for your pastel and glitter Easter whims! Hang up home made art by your kids, nieces and nephews, or create your own. Or, make your own peel and stick eggs by cutting our WallPops wall decals like we have done here. Have fun decorating your egg shapes with polka dots, stripes, and mini flowers. You can stick them to kitchen cabinets, mirrors, appliances and walls without worrying about damaging your paint with tacks or tape. Or, for a ready made Easter and Spring theme, try our new Flutterby Butterflies or the Patchwork Daisy pastel pennant decals. You might end up wanting to keep this sweet wall art up year round! If not, you can always stick it back to its protective backing and put it up again next year!
Just For Boys
We were honored to be included in a boys room decor idea article by Erika Flynn. Below is an excerpt from the article, and click here to view the January 2014 feature
“Planes, trains, cars – that’s what little boys dream of. Or maybe its dinosaurs, spaceships, cowboys, or a favorite sports team. Whether creating the nursery where he will spend his first years, or redecorating to make a “big boy” bedroom, most parents want to create a haven for their son that he can truly call his own. Some would say decorating for their girl counterparts has always been easier. Products with pink, frills, and anything dazzling have flooded the marketplace for some time now. But juvenile-product manufacturers are waking up to the notion that there is a growing demand for all things boy, and they’re answering the call… Brewster Home Fashions, established in 1954, entered the wall decor arena with it’s WallPops line of wall art. The company’s peel & stick, repositionable, and completely removable products leave no sticky residue…”
The 2014 Pantone Color of the Year Radiant Orchid
We were delighted to be included in a recent post on Modern Day Moms, one of our go-to resources for everything from crafts to recipes, beauty tips and more. Inspired by designs around the world, the pale purple Color of the Year is complemented by a wide array of accents and undertones, making it effortless to execute in your own home.

Paula Berberian, Creative Director for WallPops was recently featured in a Wall Street Journal Home & Digital article about the growing popularity of owls in kids decor. Read an excerpt from the article below, and click here to see the whole feature!
Nurseries and kids’ rooms are wising up.
A onetime star of ’70s crafting kits and macramé wall hangings has returned as the “it” critter for the baby-to-preschool set. Perched on crib bedding, bibs, lunch bags and backpacks, the owl is a decorative force with staying power, manufacturers and retailers say.
Parents of young children are welcoming the break from pinks, princesses and plastic. “The kids’ rooms now are more of an extension of the rest of the house,” says Paula Berberian, creative director for WallPops, a line of removable peel-and-stick wall art popular for kids’ rooms. When entering that space, “you’re not assaulted by a totally different look and feel,” she says.
This year, two owls feature prominently in WallPops’ $31 Hoot and Hangout bedroom wall-art kit, which also includes a 51-inch-tall tree. “That immediately rose to one of our best-sellers,” says Ms. Berberian. The $15 Owl Silhouettes collection comprises four 13-by-13-inch owls, two “sleepy” and two “wide awake.”
“Anything we do with owls is really popular,” Ms. Berberian says. WallPops is a brand of Brewster Home Fashions, of Randolph, Mass…. click here to read the whole feature on the Wall Street Journal On-line site.
