Creating Your Dream Room

Bring Your Dream To Life

decorfeatureimage

Creating your dream decor is all about embracing your personal style. Whether that’s modern, eclectic, vintage, industrial, or a combination of a many different styles, one of the easiest ways to add style to your room is with making over your walls.

Bedroom

dreamroom5

Natural Bedroom Decor

Where better to start with dream rooms than the room where you dream? Bedrooms should be calming yet stylish. We love using the Gray Woods NuWallpaper in a bedroom because it brings in an element of nature. Choosing one pop of color in a white bedroom is will instantly feel chic. This room uses watercolor art and blue accessories to tie into the nature theme.

Living Room

dreamroom1

Modern Living Room Decor

This modern living room has a mixture of contemporary and mid-century pieces. Thin chairs aren’t always used in living rooms, but they’re great if you’re low on space. The low profile assures that the area doesn’t feel crowded and the clean lines add a modern touch. The Grey Quatrefoil NuWallpaper is the perfect pattern for a small room. Its adds just enough visual interest to the walls without overpowering the rest of the decor.

Breakfast Nook

dreamroom2

Cozy Breakfast Nook

The breakfast nook is an often overlooked area. We believe it should get just as much attention as the rest of the kitchen! Decorating this area creates a defined place relax in the morning and gives the kitchen a coziness that can be difficult to achieve otherwise. They Grey and Yellow Suzani NuWallpaper brings color and warmth to the space while still being bright and sunny.

Entryway

dreamroom6

Stylish entryway

An entryway is the first thing you seen when you get home, so it should make you happy! A great way to separate your entryway from the rest of your home, especially if you live in a studio, is with cubbies. This gives you a dedicated spot to put your purse and coat—no more searching for your keys as you run out the door! To give this room an industrial flair, we added the White Brick NuWallpaper. It creates an interesting backdrop for the rest of the decor and makes the space feel modern and bright.

Stylish Ideas for a Happy Home

Using an oversized whiteboard gives you enough room for notes, lists, messages and more!

You’ve just counted down to the New Year and now it’s 2016! You have 12 months ahead of you to start fresh and reach for the stars. So how do you make sure that your year stays on track the way you want it to? Organization of course!

organizational quote

Whether you’re usually organized or tend to be the opposite, taking time to incorporate new and creative ways to help your home remain in one brilliant piece can really make a difference. So instead of choosing what’s always been done, instead, shake things up to see how fabulous your life can really be!

Create a Keep the Change Jar:

Place a pretty jar (such as a mason jar!) where everyone can see so that any loose coins around the house always have a home.

Incorporate Wooden Crates:

Instead of piling up homework, boots, backpacks and sports gear, opt for some rustic wooden crates that can be stacked and placed however you like. Surprisingly you’ll find that with this simple idea, your entryway will appear completely put together as well as stylish!

Use a 4-Month Calendar:

When they said the early bird gets the worm, they weren’t mistaken. With a four-month calendar in place you’ll always be ahead of the game!

Design a Key Holder:

I know it seems like EVERYONE should have one of these built into his or her homes but we found surprisingly not. If you don’t already have a prominent key holder, make sure to incorporate one this year instead of wasting precious time looking for those lost keys.

Contain Your Cookbooks:

Instead of displaying your cookbooks out on the counter, place them in a cool wire basket. You’ll be astonished at how much space this frees up as well as will help you keep your kitchen looking super tidy.

Display Your Jewelry:

It can take hours going through a huge jewelry box or closet to find that one bracelet or necklace you want to wear. Instead, display your most loved pieces around and in vases for easy access and of course to save time!

Sprucing Up Your Home With WallPops! NuWallpaper

Mandy Fisher from MomTrends used our Grey and White Brick NuWallpaper to update her New York City apartment and, we may be biased, but we think it looks amazing!

“Though I love living in New York City, there’s still a part of me that wished I owned my home. But like most of us here, we are still in the rental phase which also means that our apartments are technically not ours, so we can’t exactly paint whenever we want to.

Before I begin, let me tell you that I was a skeptic. I’ve seen “easily removable” decals and other brands of stickers that promise up and down that there will be no residue left after you attempt to remove it. Never the case. With WallPops! NuWallpaper, it’s so easy to remove and reapply, you’re going to wonder how you lived your life without it.”

Above, Mandy shows how easy it is to remove NuWallpaper with no damage to the walls.

“Because my wall looked so fabulous now, I couldn’t stop there. The adjacent door connecting my living room to my kitchen has tiny windows. To give myself a little more privacy and a little more color, I used the Geometrics Window Film.”

We love Mandy’s combination of the industrial white brick and the colorful geometric window film.

NuWallpaper Before & After

Nurseries Get Made Over With Peel & Stick Wallpaper

Having a nursery that will be a comforting, enjoyable space for your baby is ideal, but not always easy…until now.

NuWallpaper is the perfect alternative to traditional wall decor. This peel & stick wallpaper collection was made with nurseries in mind. It takes only minutes to apply and, if your child outgrows the design, only seconds to remove!

Take a look at these nurseries that were made over with NuWallpaper

Blue Elephant Parade

Blue Elephant Peel & Stick Wallpaper
This adorable elephant wallpaper created a whimsical space that emphasizes the love between parent and child. We accented this sweet design with metallics for a modern look that both mom and baby love.

Blue Quatrefoil

Blue Quatrefoil Peel & Stick Wallpaper

This blue quatrefoil wallpaper is calming yet stylish. The nursery had good lighting, but needed color and pattern. The quatrefoil design is perfect for any gender and will grow with children as they mature.

Gray Woods

Gray Woods Owl Peel & Stick Wallpaper

For this nursery we wanted to stay with a neutral color palette, but add a fun print. The Gray Woods NuWallpaper was the perfect solution. The design adds a sophisticated whimsy to the room that goes well with the white furniture and playful accents.

Have you used NuWallpaper in your nursery? We would love to see! Tag us on Instagram @WallPopsWallArt.

NuWallpaper DIY Projects

Get a New Look in Minutes

If you thought our peel & stick wallpaper was just for walls, think again! NuWallpaper will stick to any smooth, nonporous surfaces. In minutes you can make over a desk, a filing cabinet, your closet door, whatever your heart desires. And if you want to change to a different pattern, you simply peel it off—no harm done!

Cover the Front of a Dresser

Blue Quatrefoil Peel and Stick Wallpaper

This is a super fast way to make an old dresser or end table look new. To revamp your dresser, simply remove the knobs and apply your favorite NuWallpaper pattern.
Poke or cut holes so that you can reattach the knobs. You should be able to see the indentations in the paper, so you won’t have the guess where the knobs go. If you can’t see them from the front, poke through the holes from the backside of the drawer face.

Add Pattern to the Back of a Bookshelf

Gray Woods Peel And Stick Wallpaper

Styling bookshelves is one of our favorite ways to spice up a room, but sometimes it can be challenging to find the right accessories to fill the space. For a quick and easy way to make your bookshelf look complete, line the back of the shelves with NuWallpaper! You could do the whole thing in one pattern like we have here, or you could use multiple patterns to make stripes or a mismatched look.

Make Your Stairs the Focal Point

Beachwood Peel And Stick Wallpaper

This DIY project will make a huge visual impact, especially if your stairs are by your entryway. As long as your stairs are smooth and flat, it will be a piece of cake making them pop with NuWallpaper. Depending on your stair width and height, you may be able to do as many as six steps with one roll!

Fall 2015 Color & Pattern Trends

Autumn Has Never Ever Looked So Good!

cozy fall sweaters

September 23rd marks the start of the autumn season! The season of chunky knit sweaters, pumpkin spice lattes, brisk mornings, LOTS of turkey, apple picking, leaves changing, boots, darker hues and days you just want to stay curled up in bed. Although our favorite memories and pastimes of this special time of year stay the same, trends are always changing! So what’s in store for this year? Let’s take a peek…

Color: This Fall we see a more toned down palette that incorporates hues such as mustard, muted orange, navy, olive green and even a pretty blush. There were two shades however that flourished above the rest and seemed to bloom not just from the runway but also everywhere in between…

Burgundy in Fashion:

Taking cue from marsala, the Pantone color of the year, this rich, earthy hue can take a variety of forms. Add a little purple and you get a beautiful sangria shade or add a little more red and you get a refreshing cranberry color. All these tones of burgundy and more can be seen taking front and center this autumn! Bags to coats, dresses to shoes, just add a pop of burgundy to stay stylish and on trend.

Burgundy in the Home:

From fashion to your front door, burgundy can also be seen trending in home decor. From the switch to colder weather, this warm and spicy hue gives your home a cheerful energy without being over the top. Whether you are looking for a total room transformation or just a quick fall fix, easily layer in burgundy through rugs, pillows, throws, wall decor or even a new statement couch!

Greige in Fashion: The other color that’s trending is greige, a miraculous combination of grey and beige. The hottest neutral this season, greige can compliment just about anything. Even Bobbi Brown labeled her NEW fall collection after this perfectly chic tone, so you know it must be sticking around (at least for the moment!). If you want to dabble in this trend, we suggest trying a jacket or blazer, a pair of ankle booties, or even the greige eye palette to finish your look.

Greige in the Home: Although you can see greige trending throughout the home, it tends to stick to the walls. From paint to wallpaper to wall decor, this soothing and complimentary hue provides a peaceful and modern space that can easily be livened up with a pop of a brighter tone.

Prints: This season in prints we see some of the classics staying strong! There was a lot of Plaid seen on the runway including alternative prints such as houndstooth, gingham and checkered. A variety of stripes made their debut and a few other favorites that can be seen below…

Plaid in Fashion:

Plaid remains an iconic print for fall and winter and this year was no different. This classic and warm look could be seen adorning coats, dresses, skirts, scarves and bags. With more of a “tartan” influence, we were happy to see that this nostalgic print wasn’t going anywhere.

Plaid in the Home:

It’s very easy to add in a plaid touch to your home. Change up your bedding, swap out your summer pillows for a variety of plaid ones or throw a flannel blanket over your sofa for a warm and cozy fall upgrade.

Tribal in Fashion:

Being a huge fan of the tribal look, we were delighted to see it once more on the fall 2015 runway. From beautifully adorned jackets to printed skirts, tapestry covered totes and layers of global prints incorporated with tribal inspired jewelry, this trend is one of our favorites!

Tribal in the Home:

Bringing a chic and exotic touch to your home, incorporating patterned ottomans, kilim rugs and tribal inspired artwork and decor, can easily transform your home into a global oasis. Remember, you don’t have to be a world traveler to embrace this trend!

Florals in Fashion:

This year, florals were larger than life and whimsical! Floral appliqués were a huge trend, transforming ordinary neutral garments into beautiful art. Giving clothes a realistic feel, we were pleasantly surprised at how much we fell in love with each and every floral design.

Florals in the Home:

Although when autumn comes around we think of darker and richer colors, beautiful, eye-catching florals still have a place this season. From pillows to decorative wall murals, a refurbished dresser or new shower curtain, bring the whimsical floral to your home anyway you see fit.
